Secretary Report:

Dean-K9FLO read the minutes from our November7, 2022, video meeting.      Recommended for Approval by Chuck-wd9bb and seconded by Lyndon-wa9jld.          

Treasurer Report:  Greg-k9gjn inquired about Dean’s-k9flo bank deposit.   Dean-k9flo made a deposit to the bank for $30, for goods sold at Hamfest donated by Carl-w9bj.   A motion to approve the treasures report by Chuch-wd9bb, seconded by Kurt-ke9n.     

Old Business:         

Lyndon-wa9jld all the tower parts are at Chucks-wd9bb QTH.     Brett-k9by what is the status on the Fire Dept location?    Dean-k9flo I have not received any communications from the Fire Dept so I think we can conclude they no longer want to provide us with a meeting location.      Brett-k9by we are now looking for a new place.      Dave-ak9f has offered a Church location on Liberty Blvd in Beloit.     Brett-k9by was suggested the ABC supply location which Scott Fry had mentioned.    Ed-kb9nbp said he could contact Scott Fry about that ABC location and willing to reach out to them.    Brian-kd9qvb reach out to the Beloit Library about a meeting room and it is free if open to the public.     Brett-k9by is still waiting to hear from Denny’s reginal manager about doing Field Day at their location.     I will do a follow-up.    Still no news on a new club call sign.      

New Business: 

Brett-k9by club dues: Greg-k9gjn has proposed we increase our yearly club dues to $25.     Greg-k9gjn made a motion to increase the dues to $25 effective immediately.     Jim-kd9gdy seconded the motion.     Brett-k9by a vote to pass the motion was approved by all present.      Brett-k9by will update our web site.       Chuck-wd9bb made a recommendation to terminate giving fruit baskets to the Beloit Fire dept since they are no longer providing us with a meeting place.    All agreed.     Brett-k9by brought up possible meeting locations: Brian-kd9qvb suggested the Beloit Library which would be free, Ed-kb9nbp will contact Scott Fry-n9fry about a meeting room at ABC Supply in Beloit and Dave-ak9f has a Church meeting room located on Liberty Ave. in Beloit.      Ed-kb9nbp will pursue contacting Scott Fry n9fry.      Brian-kd9qvb will check into the library facilities.    A discussion on the locations, parking issues, and having a parking lot, or street parking.      It was decided to more vigorously pursue this more into the Springtime frame.      Brett-k9by our recently acquired tower sections need a 10’ mast pipe.    Does anyone have some mast pipe?    Chuck-wd9bb said we have spare mast pipe at his QTH.     Brett-k9by we need to our domain name which is Go-Daddy which is $39 for two years, but we can try to get Name-Cheap.com for $15 a year.    Brett-k9by explained to everyone how the domain name works and ownership.     Dean-k9flo recommended we change to Name-cheap.com.      Greg-k9gjn made a motion to make the change to Name-Cheap.com and Chuck-wd9bb seconded the Motion.     All in-favor of the motion: yes.    Motion approved to move to Name-Cheap.com.     Dean-k9flo provided the Field Day results 38^th out of 319!!     Winter Field day 1/28-29/2023 Chuck-wd9bb will provide his QTH for Field Day location and Chuck-wd9bb has a good supply of wood.     People available or not; Greg-k9gjn on vac, Bob-w9ewz?, Brian-kd9qvb yes, Lyndon-wa9jld yes, Jim-kd9gdy yes.     Brett-k9by had a discussion on morning set of the antennas and the three tower/antennas.     Set up two stations.     Kurt-ke9n offered the use of his Genset.    January meeting we will do final Field Day planning.
