The Beloit Amateur Radio Club began its existence around 1960 or 1961 in Beloit Wisconsin. A group of local hams started regular meetings  that were held monthly at various locations in the greater Beloit area such Beloit College and local banks. At one point in the late 1960's meetings were held at an old one room schoolhouse near Turtle Creek.
